Support Wiejaczka for 101st District State Representative

I am writing in support of Kathy Wiejaczka for state representative in the 101st District. A Democrat from Empire, Kathy has worked hard in the nursing and education fields to benefit Michigan residents for 39 years.

She has been a special education school nurse and is a strong supporter of education in Michigan, believing that public education is the bedrock of social growth. It is her belief that public schools are crucial to a strong society.

Kathy feels that Michigan’s healthcare has failed its citizens, and that affordable health care is a necessity for all Michigan families to succeed. She is especially conscious of the needs of special education students, having worked for many years as a special education school nurse.

Kathy believes that a vibrant economy means people in Michigan can get ahead, not just get by. As a small business owner Kathy knows what it takes to grow a business and create job opportunities. She and her husband Kent have operated a construction business in Empire for many years. Kathy feels Michigan citizens have been sorely overtaxed and that tax funds have done little to repair the roads.

She supports investing in infrastucture by sharing the tax burden with corporations that have not paid their fair share. The health of the Great Lakes is a matter of interest for all our citizens. Kathy shares our concern for the viability of line 5 in the Straits of Mackinac. Recent leaks there show that this concern is not unfounded.

Popular representation is the foundation of politics in Michigan. Kathy has shown her commitment to that by knocking on some 4,500 doors to introduce herself to the districts residents. She is not a recipient of corporate funding and feels the people of the 101st District should speak for themselves in showing what they expect from Lansing.

Kathy is running an all-volunteer campaign which seeks to demonstrate concern for all 101st District voters.

The primary is on Aug. 7 and the election is on Nov. 6. Please show your support for Kathy by voting for her on both days.
